So add needed amount of water. - - Once done take the batter and keep in the bowl. Now grind the poha. No need to drain the water. Once done take and mix with urad dal. Keep aside. - - Drain the water from rice and grind to smooth paste. Add enough amount of water. Once done mix this with urad dal batter nicely until everything mix together into one batter.
  3. Add enough salt and mix. Keep this in warm place and allow to ferment around 7-9 hours. - - Once ferment time finished mix the batter one more time thoroughly.
  4. Now boil water in idli pot. Apply oil in idli mould, pour the batter. Let it cook until batter cooked thoroughly. Once done, after couple of minutes take the idli out using spoon. - - Nice and fluffy Idli ready to eat. Serve with your favourite sambar or chutney.
