  1. Prepare 170 gr. rolled oats
  2. Take 170 gr. brown rice flakes (or spelt flakes, rye etc.)
  3. Prepare 200 gr. nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, cashew etc.)
  4. Prepare 100 gr. pumpkin and sesame seeds (or sunflower, linseed, flax…)
  5. Prepare 100 gr. dried fruit cranberries ( or apricots, dates, raisins, goji etc.)
  6. Prepare 120 ml. runny honey
  7. Prepare 40 ml sunflower oil

I know, I know, there are thousands of recipes for toasted muesli (or granola) on the internet. But I've been fiddling around to try and make a healthy, not too oily, but not too dry recipe. Steps to make Home-made granola (toasted muesli):
  1. Chop the nuts
  2. Put all the dry ingredients into a large bowl
  3. Heat the oil and honey over a low heat, and when they are nicely blended, pour over the dry granola ingredients. Stir while heating and don't allow to get hot enough to bubble
  4. Mix very well with a spoon or with your hands
  5. Lightly grease your oven tray and fill with the granola. Smooth over with your hands so there are no gaps
  6. Put in the oven for 35 minutes at 150º. Each ten minutes, carefully take the tray out and stir around a bit.
  7. After half an hour it should be ready to take out of the oven and left for 10 minutes or so in the tray to cool
  8. Put the granola into a bowl, add the dried fruit of your choice and stir well
  9. Store in an airtight jar and enjoy :-)
