Instructions to make Idli Batter Sandwich:
  1. Heat oil for cooking in a wok
  2. Temper with hing, curry leaves,cumin seeds
  3. Add chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste and sauté till translucent
  4. Add the potatoes, salt and dry spices now
  5. Mix well and sauté 2 minutes
  6. Once done, add water and cook covered till potatoes soften
  7. Once the water is completely absorbed and potato soften, take off heat and mash the potatoes
  8. Now grease the grill pan or sandwich maker with butter /oil and let it heat
  9. Mix the salt needed to the idli batter and water if any(if too thick)
  10. Mix well and full the sandwich maker with 1 tablespoon batter
  11. Add 1 tablespoon of potato curry prepared on the batter
  12. Cover the curry completely like a sandwich with 1 tablespoon batter
  13. Now grill like any normal sandwich till crisp and ready
  14. Take off heat carefully and serve warm with chutneys/ ketchup and piping hot filter coffee
  15. Enjoy while warm!
