The ingredients needed to make Black Lentil and Rice Chakli:
  1. Make ready 1/2 cup Black Lentil gram powdered (Split and dehusked)
  2. Prepare 1/2 cup Rice flour
  3. Make ready 1 tablespoon Ghee
  4. Prepare 1 tablespoon White sesame seeds
  5. Make ready 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  6. Take Pinch dry ginger powder
  7. Take 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  8. Prepare 1 1/2 cup water
  9. Take As required Oil for kneading and greasing
  10. Take As required Oil for frying
Steps to make Black Lentil and Rice Chakli:
  1. In a bowl mix both flours well.
  2. In a pan heat water and let it start to bubble, slow the flame and add pepper, cumin, ginger powder, sesame seeds, salt and ghee and let this boil.
  3. Switch off flame and add flours in 3-4 batches and keep mixing. Cover and let the mixture cook in it's steam for 15 minutes.
  4. After 15 minutes remove the batter and sprinkle some oil and knead to bring together like a dough. Cover and set aside.
  5. Grease the chakli machine. Take a star shape nozzle plate. Divide dough in 4 parts, put in machine and make chaklis in a lined tray.
  6. Do with all the dough. Heat oil in a pan on medium heat.
  7. On slow flame add chaklis 3-4 at a time and fry slowly. Prepare all the chaklis
