The ingredients needed to make Tuwo and Miyan Taushe:
  1. Take 2 cups shinkafar tuwo
  2. Prepare Handful flour
  3. Prepare Spinach
  4. Get Beef and beef stock
  5. Get Palm oil
  6. Take Egusi
  7. Get Seasoning and curry
  8. Prepare Blended tomatoes, tatashe, pepper, onions, garlic and ginger

It can be eaten with any Nigerian native soup. However, I always recommend that you eat it with Miyan Taushe (Pumpkin soup) which I have a bias for. Miyan taushe can be prepared with any ripe pumpkin. I will admit our general surprise in discovering the amazing flavors contained in this stew!

Steps to make Tuwo and Miyan Taushe:
  1. In a pot add the shinkafar tuwo with enough water that will make it very soft. Use your muciya and mix it. Add your flour and mix again. Cover for some mins and used leather wrap it nicely. Keep it warm.
  2. For the Miya, seasoning and cook the beef. Add the beef stock and blended kayan miya, add the palm oil, cook for awhile. Add egusi, correct seasoning, add curry, cook for some min and add your spinach and off the flame. The steam is enough to make it ready. Enjoy.

Miyan taushe can be prepared with any ripe pumpkin. I will admit our general surprise in discovering the amazing flavors contained in this stew! To keep things as authentic as possible, I used chevon/goat meat as the meat as is commonly used natively but beef, mutton or any other protein can be used as. Tuwo Shinkafa is a northern Nigerian fufu recipe that is prepared with the soft rice variety. It is usually served with Northern Nigerian soups: Miyan Kuka, Miyan Taushe etc.
