Add Tuwon Shinkafa and Tuwon Masara to the list, and I think that pretty sums up the knowledge about Northern Cuisine for many people. Despite having a grandma who grew up in the North and spoke Hausa very fluently, Tuwon Shinkafa was the only Northern food I grew up eating..

Which means at any given tuwon masara miyan kuka time on your cooking cycle cycles there is quite probably someone somewhere that is worse or better in cooking more compared to you personally. Take heart from this because the very best have bad days in terms of cooking. There are lots of people who cook for different reasons. Some cook in order to eat and survive while others cook because they actually enjoy the whole process of ingestion. Some cook through the times of emotional upheaval yet others cookout of utter boredom. Whatever your reason for cooking or learning to cook you should begin with the basics.

The good thing is that as soon as you’ve learned the fundamentals of cooking it is unlikely that you will ever need to relearn them. Which means that you may constantly develop and expand your cooking abilities. Since you know new recipes and increase your culinary skills and talents you’ll realize that preparing your meals from scratch is a whole lot more rewarding than preparing pre packaged meals that are purchased from the shelves of your local supermarkets.

You will also detect as your experience and confidence develops that you will find yourself increasingly more usually improvising while you go and adjusting recipes to meet your own personal preferences. If you’d like less or more of ingredients or would like to earn a recipe a little more or less spicy in flavor you can make simple adjustments on the way in order to achieve this objective. Put simply you will begin punctually to create meals of your personal. And that is something which you may not of necessity learn when it comes to basic cooking skills for newbies but you’d never know if you did not master those basic cooking skills.
