The ingredients needed to make Ofada sauce:
  1. Prepare Red and green bell peppers
  2. Prepare Scotch bonnet
  3. Make ready 3 bulb onions
  4. Make ready 1/2 beef
  5. Prepare Ponmo
  6. Make ready 5-7 Cooked egg
  7. Make ready 1 medium Dry fish
  8. Make ready 2-3 cups bleached palmoil
  9. Prepare Iru (locust beans)
  10. Get 5 bullion cubes
  11. Get Salt

Ofada rice is a name for heritage varieties of rice grown in south-west Nigeria. It is used in a variety of dishes. Ofada rices are mostly blends, and some of the rice varieties in the blends are not indigenous to Africa; however, they usually also contain African rice. Ayamase stew also called Designer stew or Ofada sauce is a green bell peppers stew, which happens to be a delicacy common in the western part of Nigeria.

Instructions to make Ofada sauce:
  1. Wash and remove the seeds of the peppers then blend roughly or take to a grinding mill
  2. Fry the locust beans in the oil for 3min add the sliced onions.
  3. Fry until its translucent
  4. Add the blended pepper to the onions, add the bullion cubes and salt
  5. Pour in the proteins i.e the eggs,beef,ponmo and washed dried fish mix together and allow to cook well.
  6. Serve with ofada rice
