  1. Take Goat meat
  2. Take Pepper
  3. Prepare Bell pepper
  4. Take Green pepper
  5. Prepare Onions
  6. Take Ginger, garlic, seasoning and salt

Place the meat on the hot grill/smoker and grill one side, then turn over and do the same for the other side, until the meat is properly cooked on both sides (but not dried out). Asun is a roasted goat meat, grilled goat meat or smoked goat meat infused into fried peppered sauce; this is one of Nigerias popular small chops However, you can simply prepare your own delicious Asun (peppered goat meat) in the comfort of your home without having to wait for another. Steps to make Peppered Asun. (Goat meat):
  1. Wash and season meat with salt, seasoning, ginger, garlic and pepper. (I usually pound my ginger, garlic and pepper)
  2. Mix together and marinate
  3. Allow to rest in the freezer for atleast 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  4. Bring out from freezer and cook. Add onions only. Please no water. The meat will produce it's juice. Cook for 10-1min
  5. When it's done. Line your oven rack and place meat. While you preheat the oven
  6. Place in oven and grill for 40-45 min, depending on the temperature or heat from the oven
  7. Turn after 20 min to allow the side to be well cooked. And turn off the heat
  8. Place pot on a low heat, add grilled meat grinded pepper, Ginger and garlic. Mix together. Add chop/ cut green pepper, Bell pepper and onion. Add the leftover meat stock,(little) mix thoroughly and allow to cook for 3-5 min on a low heat.
  9. Enjoy your meal with any delicacy.

Asun is typically made with Smoked Goat Meat but that's not easy to come by in these parts so, we usually settle for raw goat meat. If you're able to get Smoked then by all means, use it. Asun is also made using just Scotch Bonnet peppers (Atarodo) but that only works in Nigeria.
