The ingredients needed to make General Tso Chicken & Rice:
  1. Make ready 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
  2. Prepare Oil for frying
  3. Prepare 2 Tbsp minced ginger
  4. Take 1/2 Tsp red chilli flakes
  5. Take 2 cloves garlic minced
  6. Prepare 3 Tbs rice vinegar
  7. Prepare 3 Tbs soy sauce
  8. Take 2 Tsp hoisin sauce
  9. Make ready 1/4 cup water
  10. Take 3 Tbs sugar
  11. Make ready 1/4 cup white flour
  12. Make ready 3/4 cup jasmine rice
Instructions to make General Tso Chicken & Rice:
  1. Toss the chicken with the quarter cup of flour and let sit while you mix the sauce ingredients.
  2. Put your jasmine rice in a pot with water and cook as directed on package.
  3. Add the rice vinegar, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, water, and sugar in a small bowl and whisk together.
  4. Add the chicken to a pan with the oil and fry until crispy.
  5. Remove chicken from the pan.
  6. In a small pan add a tablespoon of the oil and add the chilli flakes, ginger and garlic. - - Cook until you smell the garlic.
  7. Add the sauce mixture and stir until slightly thickens (a few minutes)
  8. In a large bowl add the chicken and toss with the thickened sauce.
  9. Serve immediately over rice.
