The ingredients needed to make Chaat Basket:
  1. Prepare For the katoris
  2. Get 500 gms maida
  3. Get 50 gms ghee
  4. Take To taste salt

  7. Prepare 3-4 steel katoris for frying
  8. Get For the filling
  9. Get 2 cups moth sprouts
  10. Make ready 1 cup red chana soaked overnight
  11. Get 4 medium potatoes boiled & peeled
  12. Take 1 cup onions chopped
  13. Prepare 2 cups yogurt strained
  14. Prepare 1/2 cup green coriander chutney
  15. Prepare 1/2 cup sweet implies chutney
  16. Take 6 green chillies chopped
  17. Get 1 tsp sugar
  18. Get As required Chat masala
  19. Prepare 2 tbsp jeera powder
  20. Make ready 1 tbsp black salt
  21. Prepare 2 tbsp red chilli powder
  22. Get 1/2 cup fresh coriander chopped
  23. Prepare 100 gms plain bhujiya
Steps to make Chaat Basket:
  1. For the katoris
  2. Mix ghee & salt in maida & give a thorough mix. Add water & make a soft dough. Knead well.
  3. Divide in equal 15-16 portions. Roll out like puris & prick all over with fork.
  4. Cover the outer of the katori with the rolled puri & fry in hot oil in medium flame. The katoris will come out from the dough.
  5. Fry till the katoris get a golden colour. Cool & store.
  6. For the filling.
  7. Boil the moth sprouts & red chana seperately with salt. Strain & keep in different bowls.
  8. Peel potatoes, cut in small pieces & keep in a bowl.
  9. Add sugar & salt in the strained yogurt. Keep in a bowl.
  10. Mix the jeera powder with red pepper powder & black salt.
  11. Finally, place onions, coriander & bhujiya together with other ingredients all together. Ready to assemble.
  12. To serve… Dip one katori in yogurt.
  13. Start filling the katori first with potatoes, followed by moth & chana.
  14. Now add yohurt & sprinkle masala lavishly.
  15. Add both the chutneys as per taste & green chillies(optional). Sprinkle bhujiya on top. Garnish with coriander. Serve immediately.
