  2. Prepare 1 small size raw jackfruit, boiled & mashed
  3. Get 1 potato, boiled & mashed
  4. Take 2 tbsp. besan (Gram flour)
  5. Get to taste salt
  6. Take 1/4 tsp. turmeric powder
  7. Take 1 onion, chopped
  8. Take 1 tsp. ginger, grated
  9. Take 2 green chilies, chopped
  10. Take 1 handful coriander & mint leaves, chopped
  11. Prepare oil to shallow fry
  12. Get Kadhi -
  13. Prepare 1/2 cup yoghurt
  14. Make ready 2 tbsp. besan (gram flour)
  15. Get 3 cups water
  16. Take to taste salt
  17. Prepare 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
  18. Prepare 1 tsp. coriander-cumin powder
  19. Make ready 1 tbsp. bottled pickle (I added some homemade mango pickle)
  20. Make ready Tempering -
  21. Make ready 1 tbsp. oil
  22. Take 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds
  23. Get 1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
  24. Prepare pinch asafoetida
  25. Get 1 sprig curry leaves
  26. Make ready Garnishing -
  27. Take 1/2 tsp. chilli flakes (opt)
  28. Take 1 tbsp. fried onions (opt)
  29. Get 1 tsp. coriander leaves, chopped (opt)
Instructions to make Achari Kathal Kofte Ki Kadhi:
  1. In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients (except oil) mentioned under 'Koftas'. Make equal sized balls out of it and refrigerate for an hour.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together all the ingredients mentioned under 'Kadhi'.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry them in batches till light golden in - colour on all sides. Drain on a kitchen towel and keep side.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and temper with the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, - asafoetida and curry leaves.
  5. Saute for a few seconds. Add the yoghurt mix and gently simmer - till it reduces to the desired consistency.
  6. While serving, arrange the koftas on a serving dish and pour the kadhi over it. Garnish with coriander leaves, chilli flakes and fried onions. Relish it with plain steamed rice, plain biryani, pulao, jeera rice, naan, tandoori roti or chapatti.
