This soup takes full advantage of that, if the ocean decided to put all of its bounty in a delicious soup, it would be Odu Folu (Native Soup).

The ingredients needed to make Native soup:
  1. Get Stock fish
  2. Prepare Dry fish
  3. Make ready Cow intestine
  4. Prepare Crayfish
  5. Make ready Fresh Pepper
  6. Get Knorr/maggi nijapot
  7. Take Palmoil
  8. Take 1 handful Uzuza leave
  9. Take Achi or offor (to serve as your thickener)
  10. Prepare Periwinkles
  11. Prepare Grinded Uzuza seed
  12. Make ready Grinded Ahuru
  13. Take Kpomo
  14. Get Salt

Rivers native soup recipe came to us from Niger Delta Area of Rivers state. The feature of this region is that the riverine people who like to use the freshest seafood in their cuisine. Instructions to make Native soup:
  1. Wash your cow intestine, stockfish, dried fish and kpomo
  2. Put your washed cow intestine, and stock fish in your cooking pot. Then you add your grinded Uzaza seed, Ahuru, grinded pepper, knorr and salt to taste. Then cook.
  3. Slice your kpomo into smaller chunks, then add it.
  4. Add your palm oil and cook until your oil blends with the stock
  5. Dissolve one teaspoon of offor (not too full) with little red oil then add it to stock then allow it to boil very well then you add your crayfish and maggi nijapot, allow it to boil
  6. Add your dried fish, periwinkle and salt to taste
  7. Wash your uzuza leave then chop it into smaller chunks, add it to your soup. Stir and your native soup is ready
  8. You can serve it with any swallow of your choice
