Rivers Native Soup is a gift from the people of Rivers State in the Niger Delta Area of Nigeria. These are the riverine people that use the freshest seafood to prepare expensive soups and meals. This soup takes full advantage of that, if the ocean decided to put all of its bounty in a delicious soup, it would be Odu Folu (Native Soup).

To begin with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few components. You can have native soup using 14 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Native soup:
  1. Take 1 kg meat
  2. Get 1 teaspoon ofo
  3. Get 1 small bulb of onion
  4. Prepare 2 Maggi cubes
  5. Get 1/4 palmoil
  6. Get pinch salt
  7. Get 50 g peri wrinkle
  8. Prepare 50 g dry prawns
  9. Prepare Small bunch of uziza leaf
  10. Make ready 1/4 teaspoon uziza seed
  11. Take 50 g pomo
  12. Prepare 1 stock fish
  13. Get 1 dry fish
  14. Take 50 g ngolo

Instructions to make Native soup:
  1. Boil meat with Maggi,onion and salt
  2. Boil meat for 30mins then add stock fish and add diced pomo
  3. When d meat is ready add palmoil then allow to boil
  4. For 15mins till d oil comes to the top.then add goo make sure you stir very well to avoid lumps.
  5. Allow to boil for 10mins then add periwrinke dry Fish ngolo dry prawns
  6. Allow to boil and add uziza leaf you only add d uziza seed when u cant taste the uziza leaf again
  7. Better served with Eva or fufu.enjoy
