  1. Make ready 1 kg Cowleg
  2. Make ready 1/2 kg Beef
  3. Take 2 Dry fish
  4. Get 1 cup Crayfish
  5. Get 2 tbsp Dry pepper
  6. Make ready 1 tsp Native salt
  7. Make ready 1/4 cup Potash
  8. Take 1/2 cup Dry prawn
  9. Get 3 cubes Knor
  10. Take 3 tbsp Starch for thickening

Instructions to make Owho soup:
  1. Boil your cowleg and beef, add little water to the meat stock and set on fire, then allow to boil till meat and cowlegs are tender,
  2. Then add your dry fish, dry prawn and dry pepper and continue boiling; After about 5minutes, add cray fish, pound your native salt then add, taste and adjust if necessary and allow it cook for another 5 minutes
  3. Add your palm oil, then allow to boil for about 10 minutes ; mix little quantity of starch with water as if you are mixing akamu and add to the soup, stir immediatly after adding to avoid it caking in one side of the soup
  4. Allow to boil for while; finally pound your potash, mix with water then sieve the water into the soup, this is to avoid particles if potash that looks like sand in the soup.
  5. Lower heat immediately after adding your potash to prevent it from boiling over the pot
  6. Stir continuously for a few minutes then leave on low heat for another 10 to 15 minutes, this is to allow the oil and the potash to mix together; turn off heat and owho is ready to be served with starch
