The ingredients needed to make Chana Madra:
  1. Take 1 cup boiled chana(chickpeas)
  2. Prepare 1 cup curd
  3. Make ready 1 black cardamaom
  4. Get 2-3 green cardamom
  5. Prepare 3-4 cloves
  6. Get 1/2 Cinnamon stick
  7. Prepare 5-6 black pepper
  8. Get 1/4 teaspoon hing/asafoetida
  9. Prepare 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  10. Get to taste red chilli powder
  11. Get As needed kaju(cashew), kismis( raisins) and dry coconut
  12. Get to taste salt
  13. Take 3 tsp Ghee
Steps to make Chana Madra:
  1. Pre soaked the chana overnite and boil them with salt. Now add ghee in a khadi fry the dry fruits and keep them aside. Now in the same pan add the whole masala, hing turmeric powder and red Chile powder.
  2. Now mix the masala and lower the flame then add the curd. Cook it in low flame. When oil starts coming out add the chana. Add salt to taste.
  3. When it is cooked add the fried dry fruits. Let it cook for 1-2 mins. You can also add panner or potatoes to it
