The ingredients needed to make Kheer:
  1. Get 1/4 cup water
  2. Make ready 1 litre full cream milk

  1. Heat a wok add 1/4 cup water then add 1 litre milk. I have added water due to which kheer will not stick. Let the milk boil. Now take out 2 tbsp milk into a bowl and add few saffron strands into bowl. Let the milk cook for 5 minutes on low to medium flame.
  2. Add 1/2 cup rice that is soked for about 15 minutes. Let the kheer simmer on medium flame for 15 minutes. Stir continuously after 2 minutes gap.
  3. Add 6 tbsp sugar. Stir continously. When sugar melts, kheer will be some watery. So cook for about 10 minutes on medium flame. Add some chopped nuts and cardamom powder on this stage and mix well. Add saffron milk and cook for 5 minutes more.
  4. Kheer is ready to serve.
