The ingredients needed to make Dal Pakwan:
  1. Take 1/2 cup yellow dal
  2. Get 1/2 cup moong
  3. Take 1 cup chana dal
  4. Get 1 tbsp oil
  5. Take 1 tsp jeera
  6. Get to taste Salt
  7. Prepare 1 tsp red chilli powder
  8. Prepare 1 tsp turmeric powder
  9. Make ready 1 tsp dried mango powder
  10. Make ready 2 cups maida
  11. Take 1 pinch hing

Step by step Dal Pakwan Recipe. How to make popular Sindhi breakfast- Dal Pakwan. Tempered Chana dal flavored with spices is served along with crispy wheat bread called Pakwan. Stir and add it to the dal.

Instructions to make Dal Pakwan:
  1. Dal : Take yellow moong dal, full green moong & chana dal. Wash separately. Soak separately each dal in salt & water. Take pressure cooker. Add 1 tbsp oil & 1 tsp jeera. Add each dal separately in layers along with water. Don't throw this water as it includes salt. Add chilli powder & haldi powder. Don't mix Dals. Pressure cook for 4 whistles. Don't mix. Serve as it is in layers in a bowl. Add amchur powder or sweet chutney to garnish.
  2. Pakwan : Sieve maida with pinch of hing & salt as per taste. Add 1 tsp jeera. Add 3 tsbp oil. Make a dough neither soft nor hard. Roll chapatis. Prick with fork small holes to remove puffing of air while frying. Deep fry on low flame till crispy brown.
