The ingredients needed to make Chana Paratha:
Take 2 cups black chana
Take 3 Tomatoes, chopped
Get 1 tsp Cumin seeds
Make ready 1 pinch asafoetida
Get 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Prepare 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
Take 1 Chopped green chilli
Take 1/2 tsp garam masala
Prepare 4 Curry leaves
Prepare 1 Grated ginger
Take 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
Make ready 2 tbsp desi ghee
Prepare to taste Salt
Instructions to make Chana Paratha:
Wash and soak black chana overnight in water for around 8-10 hours.
Drain and transfer them to pressure cooker, add salt and 2 cups water. Pressure-cook them for 3-4 whistles.
Drain boiled chana and keep aside.
Heat ghee in a kadhai. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, chopped tomatoes, grated ginger, coriander powder, garam masala, green chilli chopped, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and mix well.
Cook on medium flame until tomatoes become soft or for around 2-3 minutes with masala.
Add boiled chana and mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes.
Turn off heat and transfer it to a serving bowl.
Serve it hot with paratha .
