  3. Heat deep pan add oil to it add half of the chopped garlic, mustard seeds, cumin seeds and asefoetida.saute add onion and tomato saute.add turmeric powder
  4. Add cooked rice and dal to deep pan.mix well and water salt allow it to cook for more five minutes.add spinach paste to it.mix well and give one steam.
  5. Heat tadaka pan add cumin seeds,one red chilli and chopped garlic fry till golden brown.pour this tadaka on khichdi
  6. Serve hot with carrot slices and homemade curd.
