  7. Heat a pan with ghee and oil. Once ghee and oil are hot add cumin seeds and let it sizzle. Add asafoetida turmeric powder and red chilli powder.
  8. Add onion paste and saute for 4-5 minutes.
  9. Add tomato puree and mix well.
  10. Add salt and saute till it starts separate oil.
  11. Add coriander powder, kitchen king powder, garam masala powder and kasuri methi and mix well.
  12. Add arbi and mix well.
  13. Add water and mix well. Simmer and close the lid and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  14. When arbi is almost cooked add makhana. Simmer and bring to boil for 2-3 minutes such that the taste is seeped in well into both arbi and makhana. Switch off the flame.
  15. Garnish Arbi Makhana Jhol with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
