The ingredients needed to make Makhana Matar Masala:
  1. Make ready 50 gms makhana

I like to serve with fresh hot puris or white rice. In India, Lotus seeds are commonly referred to as Makhana. Steps to make Makhana Matar Masala:
  1. Boil peas and potatoes separately
  2. In a non stick pan heat whole garam Masala. Add chopped tomatoes and garlic. Roast for 5 minutes. Add ginger chilli paste.
  3. Add 1 cup milk and grind it to a smooth paste.
  4. Add boiled peas and potatoes.
  5. Dry roast makhanas on a girdle. Remove and cool
  6. Add roasted makhanas to the gravy.
  7. Cook for 5 minutes. Add all the dry spices.
  8. Remove in a serving dish. Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve with hot phulkas.
