  4. Prepare 120 ml Water
  5. Make ready 120 ml Sake (or cooking wine)
  6. Make ready 45 ml Mirin
  7. Prepare 45 ml Soy Sauce
  8. Take 30 g granulated sugar

Add to the saucepan and fry over medium-low heat until fragrant and a red oil is released. Sardines are small, oily fish that belong to the family called Clupeidae.
