  7. To check when ready /when cake is done, insert a sharp object Knife or skewer into cake middle, if it comes out clean, that means cake is ready.

Make Filling, Frosting including Fondant if I'm using a homemade fondant recipe. Wrap well in cling wrap and store in the fridge. Dress the cake board - if using Fondant or Royal Icing on the whole board. Bring cake, filling, and frosting to room temperature. Fondant and Royal Icing are two types of icings that are ideal for cake decorations.
