  1. Take 2 tablespoon ogbono(grounded)
  2. Make ready 8 okro(chopped)
  3. Get 4 tablespoon palm oil
  4. Make ready 2 maggi cubes
  5. Take 1 tablespoon crayfish (grounded)
  6. Get 1 onion bulb(chopped)
  7. Make ready 1 bunch pumpkin(chopped)
  8. Make ready to taste salt
  9. Make ready 1 tablespoon grounded pepper
  10. Prepare 1/2 tablespoon locust beans(okpehe)
  11. Prepare stock fish
  12. Make ready dried fish
  13. Prepare water

So, i am sharing this version of Okro soup with Ogbono or should i say Ogbono soup with Okro…call it anyway you want Ogbono Okro is ready.

Instructions to make Ogbono and okro soup:
  1. Wash stock fish,dried fish well in warm water and put in a clean pot
  2. Add salt,maggi,little water and cook for about 10 minutes
  3. Add your pepper,onion and crayfish, and allow to boil for 2 mins.add your locust beans(okpehe) and allow to boil
  4. Pour your grounded ogbono into a plate,add palm oil and mix together.
  5. Add the mixture to the pot and allow to boil for 5 mins
  6. Add your chopped okro and pumpkin and stir.
  7. Turn off the heat,your soup is ready.can be served with pounded yam, semovita or eba

There are several ways to make these soups including this method of adding both in one soup. So, i am sharing this version of Okro soup with Ogbono or should i say Ogbono soup with Okro…call it anyway you want Ogbono Okro is ready. Like Bitter leaf and Ayamase, the older and more times you warm up the soup the sweeter it becomes but the colour turns darker. You can serve it with Amala (HERE), Eba, Semo, Pounded yam (HERE) and the likes. Okra and Ogbono soup is one of the most favorite Nigerian soups.
