  3. Now add soaked rice and dal, add salt, turmeric powder mix everything very well add water cover the pan and cook for 10minutes in low flame.
  4. After 10 minutes add sugar and coconut into khichdi and cook for more 5 minutes.
  5. The khichdi is almost ready, turn off the stove and keep the khichdi in rest for more 5 minutes with lid. Serve khichdi hot with dalma or aloo sabzi.
