  1. Prepare 1 litre full cream milk
  2. Get 1 cup makhana or fox Nut
  3. Make ready 1 tbsp desi ghee
  4. Make ready 1/2 cup makhana(fox nut) crushed
  5. Prepare 1/2 tsp choti Elaichi(green Cardamom) powder
  6. Make ready 1/4 tsp kewra water
  7. Prepare To taste sugar
  8. Prepare handful chopped badam(almonds) and pistachios

Phool makhane ki kheer is a traditional sweet of North India that is mainly prepared during festivals or times of Upvas or fasts. Also known as makhane ki kheer, this sweet is prepared with roasted. Instructions to make Makhane ki Kheer:
  1. Take a pan, add ghee, heat it. Fry makhana till light brown. Keep aside.
  2. Take a deep bottom pan or wok, add milk, boil it
  3. Lower the flame now, keep boiling milk for a while.
  4. Now add crushed makhana & also fried makhana, stir it nicely.
  5. Cook it till lil thick.
  6. Add sugar, mix it well. Add Elaichi powder & kewra water, mix it well. Again cook it till lil thick.
  7. Switch off the flame now, take out in a serving bowl, garnish it with chopped dry fruits.
  8. All cooking has been done at low flame.
  9. You can use condensed milk in place of sugar. In that case do not make the milk thick. Mix condensed milk after 10 minutes of boiling. Rest is same.
