  1. Prepare Dough

Steps to make Laung lata:
  1. Take 2 cups of Maida, to that add 1/2 cup ghee mix it well. Mixture should be like the 2nd photo below. Knead the dough with water as required. Cover it and let it rest for 15 mins.
  2. Now take 1 cup mawa, roast it in a kadhai. Now to that add 2-3 tbsp powdered sugar, 1/2 Elaichi powder chopped almonds, casewnuts, raisins, pistachios and Melon seeds. Mix it well. Now add 2-3 tbsp of rava to it. The batter should neither be to sticky nor too dry
  3. Take a kadhai to that add 200gms of sugar and 50 ml water. Turn on the gas. After the sugar seems to be dissolved add 1/2 tsp Elaichi powder to it. It should not be very thick.
  4. Now take some dough, roll it over a rolling pin, take some filling give it a peda like shape, put it to the rolled dough. Pack it and seal it with a laung at the top. Same way make all of the laung lattas.
  5. In a kadhai take some oil. Fry them on low to medium flame.
  6. Fry them and dip them in sugar syrup for some time.
  7. Garnish them with some pistas and Kesar and enjoy them…..
